Friday Swimming

Going on the bus.

On Fridays we go swimming. We were all separated into different groups. My group was swimming in the outside pool. Some groups were inside swimming. The pools are heated so it isn't cold or hot.

Our Swimming teacher asked us to do a 25 metre lap of freestyle and backstroke. We had some races. Some of the races were freestyle, Robin won. We had another one when we swam underwater for the furthest without breathing and Hoa won.

Then it was time to go. Everyone enjoyed the day. We caught the bus back to school, got changed and went to dance.

Every Friday Brookvale Public School goes to the Warringah Aquatic Centre for Swimming Lessons. Year 5/6 go on the bus with the Year 1's.

Before we leave we have to get changed in the Classroom. When we finish getting changed we eat our lunch and then have a little play which is pretty hard when we have our towels and all the stuff that we need for swimming.

We leave in the bus with our Year 1 Buddies. When we get there we have to sit on the seats to get our goggles on and take our shirt off.

The swimming coaches call out our names to tell us when to go down to the pool and who we are going with. My group is the highest group. The people who are in my group are Nathan, Andrea, Farah, Luke, Elliott, Adam and Sarah.

I think swimming is really fun.

Every Friday the school has Swimming at the Warringah Aquatic Centre. Every senior class goes with another junior class, our class goes with 1K.

We go there by bus and then when we get there, we get into our groups. We then swim for about 45 min, I'm in the top group with Nathan, Jarrod, Elliott, Sara, Adam, Andrea and Farah. When we get out of the pool we dry off and go after the next group comes.

Then we go back to school and do dance.

Mums and Dads go to watch too.
