After that Chanon had to retire at 40 runs not out. Then Inoke and Robin came in and on the last ball of our innings Robin got run out. Our total team score was 4 out for 89 runs.
Then our team went out to field the first two bowlers were Matthew and Elliott. Matthews figures were 5/12 and Elliott's were 1/18. The next bowler to come on was Giau and his figures were 1/13. The next bowler was Chanon and he took 2/4. Then Myfawny and Anna came on and unfortunetly they got no wickets. Inoke was the next bowler to come on and he took the last wicket and we won by 6 wickets.
Our whole team played well on the day. Now we will play in the final
next week.
On Monday our school cricket team played in the semi-finals of the district knockout we got there by bus.
When we got there we had the toss and Chanon lost the toss and then Newport sent us in to bat. We got of to a good start with Elliott and Chanon then Elliott got out we finished with Chanon top scoring 40 not out at the end of our overs we were 4 for 89.
Then it was their turn to bat. In their batting innings our team took some great catches. Matt got the most wickets bowling 5/12 and Chanon 2/4 and both Giau and Inoke both getting a wicket each. We won the game and now we are in the Grand Finals against Hardbord or Mona Vale.
