Preston Campbell has played Rugby League for
the Cronulla Sharks from 1999-2002. He is moving to the Penrith Panthers
in 2002.
When he was signed for the Sharks to play first grade his name was on everyone's
lips. He received a new car, new contract and became famous.
Campbell has scored about 70 tries in his career and that's about 170 points.
He has played about 55 games for the Sharks, for a total 66 in his career.
He is really small, only a mere 76kg, but he can make it through the big
forwards like Steve Price and Shane Webke.
Campbell was surprised when he won the 2001 Dally M Medal by 1 point over
Andrew Johns who had an outstanding year as the Newcastle Knight's captain.
