Marcia Ella is sister to Australian Wallaby rugby stars, Gary, Glen and Mark Ella. Marcia Ella was the first Aboriginal international netball player. Marcia Ella was born in 1963 in La Perouse, NSW. She played her first representative game for NSW in Under 21 team in 1984. Marcia Ella toured England in 1986 and went to the World Championship in Scotland in 1987. Marcia Ella was awarded the Order of Australia in June 1988 and an Australian Sports Medal in July 2000. |
