Glen Ella was an Australian Rugby Union star. Glen Ella is the twin brother of Mark Ella and brother of Marcia Ella and is presently the backline coach of the 2002 Australian Wallabies team. Ella was born at La Perouse NSW in 1959.  He was a member of the triumphant Australian School Boys tour to Britain in 1977-1978, the Ella brothers scored 25 of the teams 103 tries.  His coach at the time Geoff Mould, thought Ella's best position was at fullback because he always seemed to know which way to go even before the ball reached him. Ella played 10 Grand Finals for the Sydney side, Randwick as fullback and centre.  He represented NSW on 25 occasions and played 4 tests for Australia. In 1994-95 he became the backline coach for the Australian Wallabies team. Glen Ella received an Australian Sports medal on the 23 September 2000.
