Aboriginal people lived in huts made of bark, animal skins, leaves and sticks. These materials were lied by vines and sealed with mud. The floor was covered with long grass.
Caves were used by Aboriginal people for shelter in
periods of rain, cold or strong winds. They choose caves that faced North
and North East. A North facing aspect produced warmth because it faced
the sun. It also provided protection from the cold fronts and rain storms
which came from the South.
