CROAK PROJECT AWARD |
![]() |
On Thursday afternoon the 4th of June Mrs Howard and three of the class
students attended Warringah Civic Centre to receive our award. There was
a path with plants and rocks surrounding it. We had our photos taken for
the Manly Daily. That was the worst bit because we were on a rock in the
most uncomfortable position and we kept slipping down.
When we went inside we had nametags to wear. There was a model with lots of houses, cars, tall buildings and trees. We saw photos of Warringah Shire mayors. We looked at information about how chemicals affect the creeks and rivers, and how to help the environment stay clean. |
| We had the presentation and the schools received their awards. We received
$1988. Matilda went up and got the cheque. We each read part of a speech.
After the presentation we had afternoon tea. The food was delicious. Our
favourite food was chocolate slice and apple turnover, and we all liked
the fizzy orange juice.
We each received a hat, and we got lots of information and stickers for the class. As soon as Mrs Howard was finished talking to some other people we left. We had a great time and we were very disappointed to leave. |
