CLASS 3/4H WEB SITE INFORMATION

This Web site was developed over the course of the 1998 school year Feb-Dec. It grew and evolved as it responded to the teaching and learning needs of the class students across the Curriculum. The site:

• was designed and constructed to enhance student understanding and skills using the Internet effectively for information and communication
• was used for informing and communicating with parents and other members of the school community
• contains mostly original class materials
• conforms to the Web publishing requirements of the NSW DET
• is continually under construction and tested to improve design and access, eg. HREOC / BOBBY to meet needs of people with disability
• incorporates innovative use of computer-based technologies in education including digital camera and scanner and software
• is a model for T&D; mentoring of other school community members wishing to develop their own web pages
• was a 'devolved' model of web construction, with files transferred between classroom, school IT Centre, and homes
• incorporates a collaborative Web construction site
• is a class 'album' for family use - some pages may take some time to load
