AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM EXCURSION

When we arrived at the museum we had recess. We fed the seagulls with bread, chips, and crackers. My favourite exhibit was the destroyer Vampire because it had guns and cannon. The Vampire is 118.87m, and it was very big and scary. The kitchen on the Vampire is called a galley. I also liked the submarine because it was very big. We did not go on the submarine.

We looked at the Titanic computer. We went exploring up stairs and down stairs and it was so fun. There was a picture of the beach and Miss Bondi. I liked the part when we went onto the boat because the floor was moving and the water was lifting us up and down.

We went on board the destroyer Vampire

My group saw lots of things like stars and models of ships. I talked in the pipe there were two ends - one in the front one at the back. There was a Navy helicopter hanging from the ceiling. There was a dummy pretending to drive. I saw a boat that went half way round the world. Some people discover things under the water.

We saw a very big ship called ORCADES, it came from London. We made some passports. We stamped lots of stamps on our passports. There was a cinema. There were lots of TVs, and one of them was on the ship. We watched a movie. We saw a video about how to make canoes. The Aboriginals make bark and wood boats.

Sailors sleep in hammocks

When it was lunch time my group went for a walk. People with money went to buy something from the shop and I bought a map. When we had lunch I spilled my yoghurt. We had lunch then went and looked at lots of boats in the water. When we went to see the boats the platform was wavy. After lunch we went to the lighthouse but it was closed for repairs. We saw the light bit of another lighthouse.

There was a man and a parrot and a treasure chest with treasure. We went and looked at the treasure and there was lots of money and paper money. We had a little booklet to fill out. Our group never got to finish our booklet. We looked at the Migrants. We saw rich people and poor people. When I got home my mum thought I had a real passport.
