On Tuesday 5/6T, September 18th, went on an excursion to Print to Post. Print to Post is in Brookvale so we could walk there. At Print to Post they pack printed things like letters and magazines for other people and then they give it to the post office.
At Print to Post Mr Decia showed us a huge printer how they print the labels, it printed very fast. Soon after that we had to tell Lucas's mum our name and she printed out a certificate with our names on it.
After that we went to where they put the letters in envelopes. They have a very expensive machine and it inserts the letters. even CD's into the envelopes and it goes onto the bigger machines. If anything happens there are little sensors on the machine that stops it so that you can fix it then all the letters go Australia Post.
After that we went upstairs and saw how they put plastic over things in this hot machine, it was cool. Print to Post was really fun.

On Tuesday 5/6T went to my Dad's work, Print to post. My Dad was telling my class how our the printers work. We went first to my Mum and Dad's office where they showed us how fast their printers are.
Then we went out the back to see a seal and insert machine which does, that's what it sounds like. After that we went up stairs and had a look at a folding machine.
After the tour around the Print to Post, we all walked back to school.

On Tuesday 5/6T went to Print to Post to see how the letters were made, Mr Decia and Mrs Decia told us all about the machines they had. They showed us what they can do and how fast they can do it.
When they showed us the printers we went outside to see how the letters were printed and how it was inserted into the envelopes. They do mail outs for really big companies with lots of advertising etc.
After we saw how the letters were put in the envelopes we made our way back to school. It was an interesting time.
