On Tuesday 22nd of May, Years 2M and 3S went to Old Sydney Town. We went on a Manly coach. On the way we watched "Mr Bean." It was when Mr Bean has to look after a baby. It was so funny! After that we were at Old Sydney Town.
First we had Recess. Secondly we went to the School House. Mr Richardson was so funny and strict we learnt about King George 3rd and money such as shillings, pounds and pence.
Next we went to see a convict being captured. After that we saw the courthouse and we had lunch.
We went for a ride on a horse up to the playground.
In the playground there were Monkey bars, slides, swings and a Pirate ship.
It was the best day of my life!

On May 22nd, Years 2 and 3 went to Old Sydney Town. It took us one and a half hours and it was a long time.
When we got there we went through the entry. It was called the time tunnel. Inside we saw models in gaol. There were four windows with bars on them.
Next we went to Mr Richardson’s school house. When Mr Richardson came out of the school he said to line up. The girls had to go in first and the boys had to go in last. He yelled at us the first time for sitting in the wrong place.
After the school house we had a little play. After we all played we went back on the coach.
I had a lovely day at Old Sydney Town!

On Tuesday 22nd May, Years 2 and 3 went on a coach ride to Old Sydney Town. It took about one and a half hours to get there. First we went in the time tunnel entry.
The next place we went to was Mr Richardson’s school. We were two minutes late, so we had to be kept in for ten minutes. We learnt about King George lll and we learnt about the old money.
The next thing I saw was the bullock team. Then we went to the blacksmith to see a horse shoe demonstration. I did not want to see it because it smelt really bad. So I went outside and broke rocks. After that we had a bullock ride. We had lunch after that. At the soldier barracks we saw a musket demonstration.
Next we saw the firing of a cannon. First they shot a gun with gun powder. We saw a big, black cannon. They lit a stick and waited until it went out. After it was out the soldier had to blow it with his breath.
Later on we saw the weapons like armour, guns, bombs, cannons and swords. Last but not least we played on the equipment.
My Favourite part of the whole day was when we went on a bullock ride.
The bullocks passing by.

We went to Old Sydney Town on a Manly Coach. It took about one hour. When we walked around we saw models of people and there was a model rat.
We went to the school house and we learnt about King George and our times tables. We had to listen to him. We could not talk and laugh and Crysten’s mum and I laughed because he slammed the stick on the table.
Later we went to see the horse shoe demonstration then went to see a convict getting caught. A girl went to gaol. Then we went on a bullock ride. It was fun! We went to lunch and then we saw a Red Coat Soldier and we went to play on the equipment.
My favourite part was Mr Richardson’s school. He acted
like he was angry at us. I liked the excursion. It was great!

On the 22nd of May Years 2 and 3 went to Old Sydney Town. We were in groups. Laura and Kirra and I were in the blue group. Laura’s dad was looking after us. The first thing we saw was the boat then we went to the School House. The Headmaster was named Mr Richardson. He was very, very, very mean.
After that we went to where the Convict was captured. It was about two convicts trying not to let the soldiers get them and then finally the soldiers got the woman convict. After that they took them down to the court.
Next we went to the Bullock Team. We had a ride on a carriage with bullocks pulling us and then we went to the Horse Show but I didn’t see it because I could not see.
After that we went to see the Musket firing. The Red Coat showed us things about it. At the end of the day most children saw the cannon. Kirra and I didn’t see that because we thought that it would be too loud. After we had seen the cannon, we went to play in the playground. We went back to the bus.
When we got back to school it was raining. It was a great day. My favourite part was when we were on the Bullock carriage.
Having Lunch

On the 22nd of May, Year three and some Year two’s went to Old Sydney Town. At ten thirty we went to the school house for about half an hour and we learnt about King George III and the Colony of New Holland. We learnt 10X tables and how to count money like pence, shillings and pounds. After that we went to the blacksmith for a horse shoe demonstration then we went on a bullock ride and then we ate our lunch.
There was also a musket demonstration. We saw a cannon
being shot too. We went to the playground. When we got back to school.
I was tired because most of the time that we were at Old Sydney Town we
were walking.

On Tuesday the 22nd May, Years 2 to 3 went to Old Sydney Town. First we went into the time tunnel. It looked like we really went back in time.
After that we went to the school house but we were blocked by a Red Coat. The Red Coat said "Where are you going?"
Ms Sherman said "We are going to the school house." So the Red Coat let us go and we went to the school. The headmaster was Mr Richardson. When we got inside we had to sit down and take our hats off. We had to address him as Sir! or Mr Richardson. We had to write words three times. When class finished we had to bow and say, "Thank you sir."
After that we saw a bullock demonstration and then
a horse shoeing demonstration. We went for a bullock ride and we
saw a musket firing. We also saw a trial. We had lunch while we watched
the trial then we went back to school. I had a good time!

On Tuesday the 22nd of May, Year 3 and Year 2 went to Old Sydney Town. On the way on the bus we watched "Mr Bean" and it was funny. When we arrived we saw some rides but we weren’t allowed to go on them so we had little lunch.
We went through a tunnel called Time Tunnel. It had a sign and the sign said, "If you go through the Time Tunnel it will lead you back in time so we walked through the tunnel and it did look like we went back in time.
A Red Coat asked us where we were going and Mrs Sherman told the Red Coat that we were going to the school house.
When we got to the school the teacher Mr Richardson said to sit down in some long seats and put our hands behind our backs. Mr Richardson taught us about money symbols like pounds, shillings and pence. Mr Richardson said that King George the 3rd was the King of course.
After the school house we saw an olden day ship that looked kind of colorful but pretty much like back in 1806.
After that Year 3 and Year 2 went to see a convict siege. It was really funny because the Red Coat couldn't even shoot the convicts window but in the end the Red Coats got the convict out of the cottage. They had a trial. The Red Coat won of course.
Then Year three and Year two went back to school. I
had a wonderful time!
Years 2 and 3 were all dressed up!

On Tuesday 22nd of May, Years 2 and 3 went to Old Sydney Town. This bit was hard, we had to wake at 8 o'clock. We went on the Manly Coach. In the bus it had a toilet and a TV. We watched "Mr Bean Looks after the Baby." Then we saw "Mr Bean do it yourself." It was a bit funny.
It took too long to get there. When we got there it was near the Reptile Park. First we went in groups. I went with Chris, Vincent, Claudia, Katrina and Adam. They were nice. Then we had morning tea. I didn't eat that much because if I ate all of my lunch I’d have no more lunch.
First we went to the school house. The teacher's name was Mr Richardson. He said the girls had to line up straight. After he said that to us I was about to cry but I didn't because if I cried he would have yelled at me. Mr Richardson told us to write George the 3rd three times but Mrs Sherman wrote King George the 3rd. She got into trouble and she had to go to the corner.
When we went out of the school house we went on a bullock ride. After that we had lunch.
At 2 o'clock we had to go on the coach to go back to
school. I had a wonderful day!

On Tuesday we went to Old Sydney Town. My Mum came with us. After we went in the time tunnel. I was freaked out! But it was good when we first started walking.
The best thing was the court case. It was about a woman. The Red Coat told a lie to the magistrate. The convict woman was sentenced to 10 lashes.
We had lunch and it was good! I liked the school house and also the horse and coach ride.
When we came back from Old Sydney Town the kids at
school were puzzled because we
were dressed up in old fashioned clothes.

On Tuesday we went to Old Sydney Town. We had to get to School at eight o'clock. When we got to School we straight away went and got on the Manly Coach and started going. It took one hour and a half to get there.
When we got there we had our recess. Then we went through a cave where the convicts were put. It was scary. After a while we got to the old school house.
When we got to the School house there was this teacher and his name was Mr Richardson. He told us where to sit and I sat with Luke and Vincent. He asked us a question and if we got it wrong he would shout at us and if we got it right he would shout and say "CORRECT." After a while we finished School. The boys had to bow when they went out and the girls had to do curtsy when they went out.
When we had finished at the school we went and looked at some ducks. It stank in there. After that two convicts a man and a wife had been naughty. The Red Coats caught them. But they only caught the wife then they took the woman to the court. The woman kept arguing and so did the Red Coat. Because the man was a Red Coat the woman had to go to jail.
When that had finished we went through the jail. After that we went to the assembly. It told us a lot of information and we kept laughing and laughing. We went and had a little play. I was happy.
After our little play we went and found the Coach.
After a while we got to watch "Mr Bean" and it was funny. I nearly fell
asleep. I had a wonderful day.
