Last Friday four school leaders Joseph, James, Matilda and I went to a memorial service at North Head with Mr Richard. It was to celebrate the defense of Sydney Harbour in World War II.

On the 30th May, 1942, 3 Japanese Midget Submarines entered Sydney Harbour and attacked American and Australian warships. They did not do a lot of damage but did sink a ferry killing 19 sailors on board.

Mr Tony Abbott, a member of Federal Parliament was the MC so he welcomed everybody then we sang the National Anthem and the Royal Anthem. John Platt and Gabby Roux said a few words. Then Killarney Heights High School Band played a song.

Reverend Ian White said a prayer.  The wreath and book laying ceremony was next. All the people from the different clubs came to the front and put a wreath or book down.

At the end we were able to have morning tea. It is fantastic place for a memorial service with great views of Sydney Harbour.

What a wonderful view!!!

On the 25th of May, Joseph, Matilda, Annalisa and I went on a excursion to North Head with Mr Richard.

The excursion was all about the Japanese invasion of Sydney Harbor during World War 2. The first thing that happened was there was a speaker called Tony Abbot to introduce everyone and welcome everyone. He is our local member of Parliament.

There were other school's like Harbord, Manly West, Stella Maris and many more. The Manly Youth Choir was there and Killarney Heights High School Band.
