On Thursday the 20th of September Homeher, Eliza, Michelle, Mimi, Lani, Emma, Christopher and myself (John) went to a Leadership Day at Beacon Hill High School, when we got there we had to go to their school library.
In the library the Student Representative Council members introduced themselves, one of them used to come to our school and his name was Christian. After they introduced themselves we played The Knot. It's a game where you tangle with everyone and try to undo it yourselves.
After we played that game we had an activity, it was called "Hunt The Human." In that activity we had to we had go and find somebody that had the same last number of your home phone number and mine was 3. We finished that activity and we had to design an S.R.C. badge on a piece of paper. First we had to do a draft in our books. When we finished that activity we had recess.
After recess we played a game called Dotty, they had
to put a sticker with a colour and you had to find the same person as your
colour, my colour was red. When we finished we had to look around and there
was only one person with a green and we had to talk about it if you leave
a person out or you still have to include that person. Of course we had
to include them in even if they are
different.
When we finished that we went back to the library and we played a game and we went out for lunch and we received a sausage sandwich. When we finished lunch we went to the library and played all sorts of different games and we finished with a game of Shoosh ball.
It was a fun and tiring day. I learnt a lot there.
Introducing each other.

On Thursday the 20th of September, John B, Lani, Eliza, Mimi, Michelle, Emma, Christopher, and myself, went on a Leadership Day in Beacon Hill High School.
When we got there, we had to go to the library. This girl named Stephanie gave us nick names, my one was Homeher Simpson. The first activity we did was called "Hunt The Human," That is when we had to go around the room and ask questions on that page in your booklet, if they had the same answer you had to write their name down. The second activity we did was to design an Student Representative Council badge with our school logo on it. After that we did a few more activities and then we had recess.
After recess we did an activity called Going Dotty, that's when they put a sticker on your forehead and you have to find other people with the same coloured sticker. Next we played a game called shoosh ball, ( I think you would know how to play it from the name.) You can't speak, can't throw overarm or below waist.
Then we went back to the library and did a couple more activities. When it was close to home time they gave us certificates.
I had a Fun Day!
Looking around the area

On Thursday the 20th, a group of Brookvale Public students went to a Leadership Day at Beacon Hill High School. There were kids from other schools there too. At first we were taken into the library and got a name tag then one of the Student Representative Council members gave us all a famous name. I was Kylie Mongoue, the point of the day was to learn how to be a leader.
Then we got into groups and played a game called the knots, we had to tangle up then try to undo ourselves. After that we were given a sheet of paper and you had to go round and see if anyone was born in the same month as you, had the same last number in your phone number and liked the same ice-cream as you. Next we made up our own S.R.C badge, it had a lady beetle for nature, a computer because we use computers a lot, books cause we do a lot of work and a smiley face because we have fun at our school.
After we finished that activity we got into groups and we had to pretend we were stranded on an island and the only thing we had was a belt. We had to come up with ideas for what we could use the belt for. When we finished playing the game, we had recess.
After recess we played a game outside called going dotty. We had to close our eyes and the people put a coloured dot on our head, we didn't know what colour it was but we had to try to find another person that had the same colour on their head as us. As a result there was one boy who didn't have a partner, and the point of this activity was that everybody is different and you shouldn't exclude them.
When that activity was over we had a game of shoosh ball, in shoosh ball you can't speak and can't drop the ball, you also can't throw the ball overarm or above the waist. Inside the classroom we got into groups and had to pretend we were blind and we had to put our hand inside the bag and feel what it was then we had to draw it, mine was a brush with a mirror on the end.
We also had a game, we got into groups again and we had to choose a boy and girl to dress up as a bride and groom. We had another game of shoosh ball, for lunch they gave us a sausage sandwich.
After lunch we had to write Cinderella again from the
stepmother's point of view and make it sound like Cinderella was the devil.
At the end of the day we all received a certificate. Everybody had a great
day, especially me.
