On the 31st of October 3/4S and 4/5G went to Long Reef Golf Course. We went by bus.
We walked up a big cliff. Jodi talked to us about what we where going to do and then Jodi showed us the Dwarf Tree Frog. It was so small I could hardly see it. After that we had recess.
We split into 2 groups and then we went to pond 14. We found 2 tadpoles and 2 frogs. After that we went to pond 15 but we didn't find anything. We also measured and weighed the frogs.
When we had finished with the frogs. We went to the beach and did sand modelling.
After the modelling competition we went back to school. It was an excellent day.

On the 31st of October, 2001, 3/4 and 4/5 went by bus to Long Reef Golf Course to look for frogs. We saw a D.T.F which is a Dwarf Tree Frog. When I was holding the bag open one jumped on my leg and I screamed!! It was so slimy.
We measured and weighed the frogs. Then we went down to pond 14 and 15 and Katrina and Francis were looking under tiles for frogs. Katrina found a Dwarf Tree Frog.
THAT WAS THE BEST EXCURSION EVER!!!

On Wednesday the 31st of October years 3 to 5 went to Long Reef Golf Course. We went by bus.
First we had to find Jodi. When we found Jodi we went to our destination. When we got to our destination Jodi wanted to talk to us. While she was talking to us we had a drink.
After she talked to us her assistant Jill wanted to also talk to us. She talked to us about the Environment and to keep the habitats of the frogs clean.
After that we were split into 2 groups, 3/4S went with Jill and 4/5G went with Jodi . We went to pond 14 where we caught two tadpoles and a Striped Marsh Frog. Next we went and sat down to see how the frogs measured. After that we went back to where we started and measured and weighed them. The heaviest was 4 grams and the lightest was 1.8 grams. Next Jill had to go so she let us have a ride on her car around a tree and then we had lunch.
At about 1pm we had a sand modelling competition and Jordan and I won. Afterwards we went back on the bus. We arrived at school at half past two.
I had the best time ever!

On the 31st of October 3/4S and 4/5G went to Long Reef Golf Course. We got there by bus. When we got there we looked for Jodi then Ms Guina spotted Jodi who was looking for us.
After a while we started to walk up a hill. Half way up Francis spotted a cracked egg, but we kept walking and a bit later we were at Long Reef.
Jodi said “You can sit down now’’ and then started to talk about frogs.
A while later a helper named Jill came and then we split into two groups , 3/4S was in one group and 4/5G was in the other group. Straight away we went looking for frogs. First we found a tadpole and a tadpole that was losing its tail and a froglet. After we back and measured them. Jodi had some Dwarf Tree Frogs and we measured them too.
Next we went to the beach and made models of frogs in the sand. Jordan won and so did Jack. We put our shoes on and walked back to the bus and got back at 2:30 pm.
It was the best day I have ever had on an excursion!
