On the 24th of May the School Choir went to Pittwater House School. The girls had to come to school before the bell to get our hair done. Then the bell rang and we lined up in front of the canteen to wait for the bus.

The bus arrived to take us to Pittwater House School. We got there and waited for Mrs McGrath to come and take us to have a practise. Soon it was time to go into the hall. We sat in our chairs then when they called us we lined up behind the stage to get ready to sing. We sang our 2 songs which were Under the Southern Skies and Bound for South Australia.

When the singing was over the judge announced who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd all the way to 8th. We
came 4th out of 8th. When we came out of the hall we had recess. Then the bus came and took us back to school.

On the 24th of May at 8:30a.m. the choir members arrived at school. Mrs Bloomfield did the choir girls hair.

We went by bus to Pittwater House School. We listened to many other school choirs, there were a lot of them and they where very good.

Then it was our turn to sing. Every choir had a number ours was competitor number 8. We sang Under The Southern Skies and Bound For South Australia. St. Lukes Grammar School came first and we came 4th, highly commended.

We had recess and got on the bus to go back to school everyone had a great day.

On the 24th of May, Brookvale Public School Choir sang at the Warringah Eisteddfod at Pittwater House School. There were a lot of schools competing in the Warringah Eisteddfod.

All the girls had a ribbon in their hair. We sang "Bound for South Australia" and "Under the Southern Skies". Mrs McGrath was very exited because she knew that we were going to sound perfect. We were the 8th to sing our songs.

After all the schools finished the judge marked the scores. She wrote down of what needs to improve and what sounds fantastic.

Brookvale came 4th but we didn't mind because it was for fun. In first place was St. Lukes Grammar School.

On the 24th of May, Brookvale School Choir went to the Eisteddfod at Pittwater House School. We had to be at school by 8:30am for Emma-Jeans mum to do our hair. We had to polish our shoes and wash our hair the night before.

Then an unexpected guest Joy came for a visit. She used to be in our class but left when her family moved. When she came she just found out we were going to the Eisteddfod, she just had the right clothes on and she came with us.

When we got there we practised and then we found some seats and watched the other choirs they were really good, we enjoyed it.

Then it was our turn to sing, we were contestant number 8. We were so nervous! First we sang 'Bound For South Australia' then we sang 'Under the Southern Sky'.

Then they announced the winner and it was St Lukes, and we came 4th. It was a great day.
