Last week a student in Year 2 brought a Funnel Web Spider to school for news. His mum had caught it in his house. It was a male Funnel Web Spider.
Our teacher Mr Taylor took the spider around to every class in the school. When Mr Taylor shook the glass the spider got ready to attack with its fangs up.
The Funnel Web Spider is one of the most dangerous spiders in the world, if the Funnel Web spider bites you, you will die because scientists haven't found a cure for the Funnel Web Spider venom yet.
After Mr Taylor showed all the classes he sent it to the scientists
in the city for them to study.
