Brookvale Public School

On the 11th of December our school had a Presentation Night in our school hall. There were books, awards and medallions that were given. There was Brad Hazzard our member of Parliament and other people.

First the Captains of the school which were Robin and Mataela read their speeches. They both looked nervous.

The people who read 250 books were the ones that got medallions. There were awards for some of the hard workers in each class and there were Duxes which were the best kid in each class.

I got a Library Award, the Book was called The Forest of Silence and it was by Emily Rodda. I also got a medallion.

At the end the Captains called out the Captains and Prefects for next year, 2001. The Prefects for next year were Jenny, Monica, James, Rosanna, Kent and. The Captains were Matilda and Joseph.

It was a fun, a proud night for most of us.

On the 12th of December we had a Presentation Night. The first awards were given to Kinder for graduating Kindergarten. After that it was the rest of the class awards.

There was some singing form the choir, the Leolelei Singers, the School Band played 2 songs.

After that we found who the new Captains and Prefects are. The Captains and Prefects are Matilda, Joseph, Monica, James, Jenny, Kent, Rosanna and Joy.

This term we had a Presentation Night up in the hall where we get our awards for the year. There were class awards, choir awards, band awards and some others. There were also some famous people such as Brad Hazzard, he is a member of our NSW Parliament.

The captains of Year 2000 made a short speech about themselves first which was really sad because they were leaving. Then the people who achieved their 250 Home Reading Club of the Home Reading Scheme each got a medallion. The Prefects and the Captains of the year 2001 were also announced and they all felt proud of themselves.

I really enjoyed the night.
