Brookvale Public School

On the 9th of May 2000 Vanessa and I went to the Freshwater High School Open Night with her mum. When we arrived we went into the hall and the Principal spoke. She seemed very nice.

After she spoke we went outside to have a sausage sizzle. It was sooooooo yummy! We went upstairs to the photography room. I got to design my own photo!

Next we went to the art room, I made a badge. The room was very interesting, it had ancient mummies (well they looked ancient).

When we went to the science room I got to touch this metal ball which sends electricity through your body. I had to take off anything metal or other things or I could get electrocuted! I didn't feel anything but my hair went right up like I was getting electrocuted! A boy had ago and he asked the man who made sure that you were safe if he should take out the money from his pocket and the man said yes because they would melt!

We also got to go the farm - yes they even have a farm! There were goats, rams, chickens, a rooster and baby chicks. I got to hold a baby chick, it was so warm and cute! There were lots of other interesting things that we saw and we had lots of fun!
 

On Tuesday 9th of May we had visit from people from Freshwater High School. Deputy Principal Mrs Wheram and Mrs Turner the year adviser for next year with the ex-brooky students Natasha and Adam came with a budgie to tell us about their high school, it was their open night. I went with Narumi and my sister.

At the Open Night we first went to the hall because there were speeches, a band and also singers. There was also a sausage sizzle. After that I went to the farm, there were sheep, a goat and little baby chicks and you got to hold them.

Then we went upstairs to the photographic darkroom, the room was red and you got to make photo's. I went to the library after to look around then I went to the computer room and looked at their home page.

Then I went to the woodwork and they were making things. After that I went to the kitchen and you got to make scones and eat it. It was a fun night.
