Safe from the fire.

At the beginning of 4th Term the whole school had a fire drill. The reason we had a fire drill was so we knew what to do in an emergency.
In the morning we waited for the bell to ring. It was going to be a special long bell. When we had heard the bell the class went down to the oval and the teachers came down with the class and the class roll. Once the classes were on the oval, the teachers would mark the roll.
There were people checking the toilets, the sick bay and other places where children might go, to see if there was anyone in there. When everyone was safe Mr Richard thanked us for our co-operation and we went back to class.

On Friday 28th of July Brookvale Public School had a Fire Drill. When the bell rang it was different because it rang constantly. All the classes evacuated the classrooms in an orderly fashion (NOT!). Before we left the class we reminded the teacher about the roll.
Well we all went to the oval with our class. When we got to the oval the teacher marked the roll to check that everyone was safe.
The point of the fire drill was that we understand what to do in a real fire and how to stay calm.
