On Thursday the 10th of February, the Induction of the Prefects and Captains Ceremony was held at the school hall. Mr Richard ran the assembly and he talked about the responsibilities of the school leaders. The Induction is when the school leaders get there badges and they sign the pledge of what they promise to the school.
After our school song and prayer, Narumi and Richard read reports about our Peer Mediation Training on Wednesday. Peer Mediation is all about solving problems and to stop bullying behaviour.
Mr Richard talked to the school about the role of the Captains and the Prefects. He talked to the school about our responsibility and that our responsibility is to represent the school.
After Mr Richard talked he gave us our prefect badges to the Captains and then to the Prefects. The Captains read the promise that they are making and they signed it, then the Prefects read the promise and they signed it.
After the assembly there was a afternoon tea for all the school leaders and their parents to enjoy.
The school leaders are Mataele, Robin, Sussan, Luke, Marlene, Todd,
Vanessa, Fine, Danielle & Jarrod.
On Thursday the 10th of February Brookvale Public School had a Special Assembly up in the hall for the Captains and Prefects.
Firstly, Mr Taylor the Assistant Principal, welcomed the Parents and introduced the Captains and Prefects.
We said the school prayer and also we sang the School song with Mr Taylor playing the Piano.
Narumi and Richard talked about the Peer Mediation Training which Year 6 did on on Wednesday.
Then the main part of the assembly was next. Mr Richard introduced the Captains. After the Captains got their badges it was the Prefects turn to get their Prefects badges. Mr Richard invited the Captains and Prefects to sign the Pledge.
After signing the Pledge we took the mothers and father to have afternoon Tea.
We all felt very proud.
