Last Tuesday this term, we had a swimming carnival.
The first race was the 100m Individual Medley. When the boys turn I came first and Eliott came second. After that we had a race in the50m Freestyle. I came first, when it was the 10's turn and Nathan Maolo came Second. In the 12's Alvonn had a wound in his foot.
Then the 50m backstroke came on and then the breaststroke then the butterfly and I came first in them.
After all of those races I was pretty hungry so we had some lunch. For lunch I had some dried mango and some hot chips from the canteen. Fay gave me a chocolate.
Then came the relay. Woomera came first. For the junior Eurobin team we had Ana, Matilda, Reece and myself.
Then my Nanna said to Matilda and I if we could get anything we wanted from the Kiosk. I said that I would like a Calipo and Matilda asked for a Splice.
Then came the parent/teacher race. In the men's one Mr. Richard our headmaster came first and in the women's Ms Gray the teacher of 4/5G.
After all of the parent/teacher races it was the kids turn again except this time it was novelty races. First was the cork dive where you had to get the most corks. It was pretty funny because when the children were collecting the corks they were dropping as they were trying to get.
Then there was the kickboard race which I was thinking about all day because every time we had to go up in a race it was "please line up for your race next to kickboards." And that was the only novelty race I went in. Then came the ring dive. Unfortunately I had to leave in the middle of it.
Then the day after the swimming carnival the teachers handed out the ribbons of 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I got 6 firsts and Elias got 7.
The next day after that they announced the senior and junior
champions
the girls junior champion was Eliza and junior boys was Jarrod. The
senior
girls was Andrea and senior boys was Eliott and that was the day I
finished
writing this.
On Wednesday 24 of 1999 Years 2 to Year 6 went to Manly Swimming Centre. We left school at 11:00 am and when we get there we had our recess.
After we had our recess we started swimming. Adam, Elliott and I swam in the same race and I came first, Elliott come second and Adam come third in 50m boys freestyle.
After that we swam backstroke and I come second and Elliott come first. In the breaststroke I come third, Adam come second and Elliott come first. Then we had lunch and I had hot chips for lunch.
After lunch we did a relay and we come second. We played games
for 15
minutes then we went back to school at 2:45 and I had a great time.
